HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?

During Unit 4, Year 2 children are learning about feelings.

Now, they start their daily routine asking their friends about their mood.

Listen, look, enjoy and...

BE HAPPY!!!

Álvaro, are you surprised?
Sol, are you scared?
Antonio, are you sad?
Macarena, are you angry?
Martín, are you happy?

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

Year 1 children have been reading the LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD story to help them to learn about their bodies.

Look how they say a chant about this story.

Big eyes, big nose, big ears and big mouth....
Big and black, I am the Wolf, I'm the big bad Wolf!!
Little eyes, little nose, little ears and little mouth...
Red and Little, I'm Little Red Riding Hood!!

ELASTIC SHAPES!!!

Using an elastic band and our feet, YEAR 1-B children had so much fun making different shapes and changing their size.

Look!!
To make a TRIANGLE we needed three children.
First we made it BIG and then... SMALL!!!

To make a SQUARE we needed four children.
We also made it BIG and SMALL, and....

WOW!!! We could turn it into a RECTANGLE!!!

MAGIC COMES HOME

As you all know, each week Magic dragon, the English project mascot, goes home with a different child to spend the weekend with their family. We have been receiving some amazing photos and collages from you, and today we thought we would share two of the videos we have received over the past couple of weeks. The children have so much fun playing and talking to Magic.

When will it be your turn?

NEW TERM, NEW FRIENDS

Upon returning to school last week, class 3B found a special surprise for them in their classroom...A new student! She has come a long way indeed to join us at school, and the children were very curious to find out more about their new friend. Watch the video to see the students asking lots of questions in the English corner today. You can also see some photographs of us on the way back to the classroom after our outdoor adventure. At Entreolivos we are really good at making friends!

As you will have seen in previous blog posts, in the infant school we are working on many co-operative learning projects throughout the year, and we wanted to show you another one. This time has been the turn of year 2, who have made some wonderful pictures giving us advice about what we should wear to keep warm now that it is cold outside.
